The Department of Law has been established, as the Law graduates are highly demanded to make Bangladesh digital and to maintain Rule of Law in the society. In overall consideration, Department of Law is very much committed to produce world-class talented Lawyers, Judges, Legal Advisors and Legal Scholars by LL.B. (Hons.) program. A strong group of talented and dedicated faculty members are working here. In the Department of Law, addition to normal course works, we offer extra tutorial classes for Law students that all students can comprehend the courses equally. Our brilliant students of Department of Law have completed Bar Council Examination with successive success.
The Department of Law intends at developing students’ understanding and appreciation of the pivotal position of law in a civilized society. The Department of Law strives to be recognized for its international competitiveness, local relevance, continuous innovative education, research and academic service learning and to be a leader in education pertaining to law. Legal education comes into contact with almost every area of human life touching upon issues relating to business, economics, politics, environment, human rights, international relations and trade. It is significant that the first academic degrees that developed were all related to law. Over the years the Department has established a reputation as one of the leading center for research in law, not only as far as the extent of research output is concerned, but also in view of the quality and scholarly nature of the research output of the Department.
